RULES & ETIQUETTE
Golf rules and etiquette are the foundation of a respectful and enjoyable experience on the course. They ensure fair play, promote safety, and help maintain the course's quality and condition for everyone. By observing proper etiquette—such as repairing divots, keeping pace of play, and showing courtesy to fellow golfers—players help create a welcoming environment that reflects the true spirit of the game.
Basic Play Rules

Play the ball where it lies.
Don't move it unless a rule allows it. -
One stroke = one swing at the balkslfjdk

A hole is complete when the ball is holed in the cup.

Lowest score wins (unless playing match play).

On the tee: the lowest score on the previous hole goes first.

During play: the ball farthest from the hole hits first

Don't step on another player's putting line.
Golf Etiquette
Be quiet and still when others are hitting.
Keep pace of play - don't hold up the group behind you.
Yell "FORE!" if your ball may hit someone.
Rake bunkers, fix divots, and leave the course better than you found it.
Follow cart rules and stay off restricted areas.
Penalties & Common Situations

Out of bounds: Stroke + distance (re-hit from where you last played).

Lost ball: Stroke + distance.

Water hazard (red/yellow stakes): One penalty stroke and drop according to the hazard rules.

Unplayable lie: One penalty stroke, with relief options.

No free relief unless it’s casual water, ground under repair, or an immovable obstruction
